Straw-Headed Bulbul
(Pycnonotus zeylanicus)
Size: 28 cm - U/RB - Secondary forests
Description:
Unmistakable; it large size and orange cap are diagnostic.
Voice:
A loud and bubbling song, sometimes in duet; sounds more like a thrush than bulbul.
Habits:
It’s prefer forest edges near waterways such as streams, large rivers and tidal mangroves. It occurs mainly in coastal lowlands. It’s shy and retiring, but vocal and highly territorial, so it is easy to catch.
Distribution:
Uncommon resident breeder in the island. |

Nice shot but there are two things:
- seems to be a little bit overexposed,
- composition should be a little bit changed to move the bird closer to left border.
Thats only my personal opinion. ;-)
