Joke!

A lady is walking down the street to work and sees a parrot in a pet store. She stops to admire the bird. The parrot says to her, "Hey lady, you are really ugly." Well, the lady is furious! She storms past the store to her work. On the way home she saw the same parrot in the window and the parrot upon seeing her says, "Hey lady, you are really ugly." She was incredibly ticked now. The next day on the way to work she saw the same parrot and once again it said, "Hey lady, you are really ugly." The lady was so furious that she stormed into the store and threatened to sue the store and have the bird killed. The store manager apologized profusely and promised the bird wouldn't say it again. The next day, when the lady walked past the store after work the parrot said to her, "Hey lady." She paused, scowled with an icy and deadly stare, and said with a hoarse voice, "Yes?" The bird, strutting back and forth on its perch in a cocky manner, said, "You know."

More parrot jokes another time!

People have giving so many facts taken from sources and i have already stated some info on the Rainbow Lorikeet previously.

Well for a change, let me tell you what i think of them.

Rainbow lorikeets are very noisy birds. They aren't too afraid of strangers because when i was at the Bird Park, these birds would fly right up to you if you have some 'nectar' in your hand. Most of them would simply fly ONTO your palm. They are friendly birds that are not agressive unless provoked. One lady was trying to touch it while feeding it with nectar and one lorikeet bit her finger.. i think it bled.

well, they are beautiful animals, though noisy, and fast. they like to fly in groups.. especially in the aviary, they go round and round in circles in a group against the other lorikeets of different colors. It's fun to watch. All i can say is to be weary of them flying above you or standing on trees above you, they 'shoot' poo... literally!

Enjoy..

Cool colors deserving the name, and an interesting pose. Very nicely framed. Good joke, too. Cheers!

Hello Stephanie,
Well framed and beautiful details!
The plumage is nicely captured, and I like the tilted composition...
Greetings,

Hi Stephanie LOL! good joke One thing I noticed on my frequent visits to our offices in Singapore they have a great sense of humour and its one of my favourite places. This is excellent nice composition interesting POV fine feather detail and the nicest part of the shot has got to be the beautifull colours. Nice eye detail spot on focus. TFS rgds Necip.

Hello Stephanie!
I really do not comment bird photos to often because this is not my favourite group, but this picture paid my attention :)
Colours are really great and the idea for preparing portrait is very good. Also a note is interesting :)
On the other hand a little better DOF would be nice to keep all details :)
Best greetings,
Radomir

great portrait of this beautiful parrot, good DOF, sharpness, amazing colors
beautiful framing

Hi Stephanie,

Wonderful close-up of this lorikeet. The colors are amazing - fine details against a nice BG. I enjoyed your notes.

Hello Stephanie,
Beuatiful hues in the parrot. I like the angle you chose to take the image, it makes one believe that you are both involved with one another somehow. The storyline with the image is humorous, an excellent choice to accomodate the intelligence of the parrot.
Well done,
Steve
