[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hopefully, I got this right, this time. There were some lovely grebes sailing over Hyeongsan river. But were so distant that my toy scope could not produce anything significant other than a hazy outline.

I had to settle for some less shy variety. Even, though I am not entirely happy with the shot, I decided to upload it before I take to the air again from land.

I was totally confused while finding the name of the bird - mostly because it looked like a duck - which it is not. But I was not aware - until - by chance I got the hint from another photo which shows the foot under water. Despite this I was not getting close to it partly because - in my country I have only seen swamphens & moorhens and white breasted waterhen - commonly called ডাহুক outnumbering the former two. Although, coot is available.

You might be laughing at my struggle with the coot and I myself knew it is a common bird here. But the name eluded me for quite some time.

Hello Subhayan,
Lovely image with this gorgeous Eurasian Coot. The details and focus are perfect. Very good shoot from a excellent POV and with perfect exposure and timing.
