Almost perfect focus on the bird's eye. Well exposure and sharpness. But distracting branches....
To me all species are photogenic but not all places!

A focus on the eye is so perfect. Not always would you get a clean BG specially when the bird is perched at a height & you are shooting from the ground. A nice attempt!!

The branches are framing well the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the Brown shrike. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colours. Have a nice day.
