[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This may or may not be the same spectacled toad (Bufo melanostictus) I posted yesterday. There was a group of three toads, so I can't be certain.
As I mentioned yesterday, in the previous few weeks, these little guys have been quite common. I think it is because they tend to move towards rivers, ponds, marshes, etc during the mating season, which is just winding down.
This one was shot a little differently, as I used my flash off camera and triggered it wirelessly. I like the different lighting that has created.
Uncropped, handheld, ISO 200,normal post processing. This guy is not all that huge, I think I was getting in pretty close to 1:1 magnification on this. |

Darren, Nice head shot! I'm into head shots myself. Alternately, you might have used some low intensity fill flash to give more detail..you know, more warts and all ;-) In this shot, the natural light works also. It all depends on what you're after I guess...

Good close up Darren, nice detail on the eye and the light bits. I would have been tempted to crop more off the left...but maybe that wouldn't work.

Nice moody shot of Mr Toad, Darren, the shadows/light make this work for me. What is a bit of a nt is the edge og the rock "growing" out of his nostril, I think you should just blur it or cloneit, it will render the images much crisper withmore impact.
Spectaculaire photo. Le cadrage est idéal pour nous offrir le détail de cette tête de crapaud magnifique. netteté impressionante. Merci.Rudy.
