Nice catch! This species rarely flies high enough to get a shot like this, so well done. The shutter speed is just a little too slow to get the bird perfectly sharp - the blurring of the wingtips is fine, but the head is also a little soft through movement. I default to at least 1/1000sec for birds in flight, only dropping to 1/800 if the light is desperately poor. This is still an achievement, though and thanks for sharing it.

This is indeed a great image. I must admit I never thought about how this bird will look in a flying position, and I am quite amazed at what I see. The variation of different blues in the feathers are very pretty and eye-catching. I love the movement of the wings that are so beautifully seen as well as the paws all streched out, as if it will give it extra go. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
