[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Let me introduce you to this little fellow named Black Saddled Toby (Canthigaster valentini), it's a shy small fish about 5 to 8cm long who in fact has nothing to fear from other predators.

This small fellow is a close relative to the porcupine/puffer fish otherwise known as the deadly Fugu fish whose toxins are highly lethal.
Though the Toby hides below the rocks or flees into the first hole flapping its ridicouly small fins, no one would dare eat it.

It's so toxic that there's a fish called leatherjacket that mimics the Toby colors and behavior in the hope some fish predator would confuse for its lethal neighbour and spare its life by the way.

This was taken in a idyllic place called Hon Ong, whale island north of Nha Trang Vietnam. The place was once named Port Dayot and in the 20's or 30's saw a young french man snorkel for the first time.

He would become quite famous afterwards his name was Cousteau.

Luko this goes staight to the top up the underwater class so well light, the colours bounce out of the screen.
I like the historic side note too, about the man who gave us suba diving as we know it today as I understand.
PS I think he`s cuter than that silly little orange clown fish ;0))))~

Hiding Toby, ;) This is the most interesting note I have read today. Such a lovely photo, I love the underwater shots because of the unusual light the portray. Yours is exceptional. Thanx for sharing.

Very good capture here Luko,
Very nice composition, lovely photo, well seeing, good colours. Very good note, very good job you did

Nice shot! Informative note as usual too. A couple of things bother me slightly, first that the composition feels a little too centred (it seems a shame to crop the background, but), and secondly I feel "Toby" looks a little green - easily fixed though. Good capture :-D

P.S. I've posted a Workshop, see what you think!

Lovely! Excellent laser green colour to the coral? Superb lighting and detail backed up with a great note.

As usual you note is very informative, intresting and well written. And as usual your photo gives a view in to a world that i will never be able to see for myself(The doctors has forbidden me to dive since i hm...broke a bone in my ear the one time i actually tried it.) I really like they way you captured the luminous colour of the green (don't know the name in english) and Toby is rally a cute litle fellow. Adrians WS is really nice and i agree with his pointers. Can't say anything about the colour of the fish though as i don't really know if it actually is a bit green.

Oooohhh, what a great one, very nice, all these green in the background and the fish is wonderful in colour, nice work, Luko !!

Very good underwater shot. I know nothing about underwater photography but shots like this make me want to try it (have to learn to swim first :) I like the green textures behind the fish and it emphasizes the subject

Muy buena captura subacuatica Luko.
Bellos colores y contrastes, gran efecto de iluminacion y muy buen encuadre.
Felicitaciones por una gran composicion!

Very good subaqueous capture Luko.
Beautiful colors and contrast, great effect of illumination and very good frame.
Congratulations by a great composition!

Usch, better keep the mouth shut, so this chap doesn't think it's "the first hole" and swims inside ;-))
Nice and sharp and with good light. Only nit would be that it would have been better to have him less centered in the frame.

What a sharp picture of the colorful fish... and of the green stuff in the background. What is it? Sea weed or anemones?
The colors and the lighting are great. I wish the fish were bigger so the details can be admired more readily. Great job!
