Lexias pardalis.

A jungle butterfly. Feeds on forest floor on rotting fruit.

Exhibits sexual dimorphism...the female ia dark brown with yellow spots.

Distinguished from the near look alike "Lexias dirtea " by the orange brown club of the antennae in L. pardalis. That of L. dirtea is black.

Hello Mike,
Fine capture of a male Archduke with pretty good sharpness, the Dof reaching almost to the antennae from this POV. Simple and pleasing composition involving the forest floor where you made good use of the limited light availability.
TFs and best wishes, Ivan

What a beautiful and unusual butterfly, Mike.
I love those pastel colors at the bottom.
Sharp details and excellent POV.
