|A Black-throated Sunbird (Aethopyga saturata) from beautiful Ta Nung Valley at Dalat platelau. |
Its main habitat is primary forest, heavily disturbed forest and regenerating secondary forest, dense jungle edge, scrub, secondary growth, gardens and along shady streams. At 820–2200 m; down to 305 m in winter.
It feeds on nectar, including that from Aeschynanthus, Rhododendron and Lantana, and perhaps pollen; also arthropods. Forages singly and in pairs, from canopy down to understorey, sometimes on ground. Nectar-robs flowers.

There are some birds that make you wonder how they could possibly be so colorful, this particular specimen is one of those birds. The plumage of your Black-throated Sunbird is simply amazing. Nicely photographed and perfectly framed. Great job!!
