Son Tra at Dawn
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Looking across South China Sea towards Son Tra, also known as Monkey Mountain. Looking virtually due North at around 6 A.M. just after sunrise. It is a beautiful place to visit and is 60 km from where a lot of the silica sand used to make glass in Vietnam as well as Japan, Korea and Taiwan is sourced.|
Read somewhere this was the scene of some terrible battles in the late 1960's.
Note from Govt Site:
Son Tra is a special gift of the god to Danang. It can be seen from every places of the city. With its sea-oriented appearance, Son Tra acts as a giant screen protecting Danang from storms and cyclones coming from the sea.
10-km northeast of the city center is Son Tra Peninsula. It looks like a mushroom with its peak 693m above sea level. The cap of the mushroom is Son Tra Mountain and its stalk is the white sandy beach that affords an ideal area for bathing, playing sports, fishing and swimming.

Minimalistic but still attractive!
Attractive composition with the falling diagonal line...
Good format and a fine morning atmosphere!
Hello Murray! Very wonderful landscape. Very original picture. Regards!
Wonderful light here Murray, and I really like the simplicity of your composition. The way the land rises from sea-level on the right in a gradual slope up to the hill on the left works very well.
I think it's excellent, well done.

Simple (on the face of it) but nice poetic shot and cute note. I like subject, delicate colour palette and composition of the picture. Refined artistic work. Thanks and best wishes.
A nice image of Son Tra and of the sea, the photo has a good composition, DOf and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.
I like the abstract look of this photo and the soft muted colors. The fading hills give the entire photo an very pleasant mood. A bit more contrast might be good, but surely do not over do it.
