A nice capture of a bird I never seen in the real before,I knew of their existance,but only captured the blue footed version on the galapagos Island some time ago,well captured in a natural surrounding,

Wow! This is a fantastic shot of the Red footed Boobie. I would love to see one for real one day. The pose is wonderful - Nice of him to smile for the camera. Beautiful colors and superb sharp details. A wonderful composition with him in such a lovely setting.

Amazing capture!
This bird is so uncommon, with those vivid colours on the beak and feet.
I like the flowers seen at the background, as it combines with the almost same color of the feet.
The fill flash worked great to get this extra details on the plumage and head.

Hi Ralf, great composition on this one. There could be no better way to have this guy show off those red feet of his, than to have him stand on a branch like this. You could almost have him saying something in caption, with that open beak of his. Colour and clarity are good throughout. Nice presentation.

Hi Ralf

This is really a very beautiful and colorful bird!
I really love the vibrant tones that its legs and beak have...they really bring the bird out of the environment here (and i guess they could make this fellow stand out well from any habitat :))
The details are great - as always - and the exposure is very well controlled with a fine fill-in work of the flash (i think).
Sorry to hear about your feet getting burned...i just hope they weren't so red as the booby's :) But...in the end it was all worth it i guess :)
