Very natural shot showing the beautiful Ringed Kingfisher in its environment. Looking at your WS, it seems that this area of Costa Rica is very rich in various bird-species. I like your choice to show the bird in a generous composition.

Hi Lou,

Some day maybe I will see a Kingfisher for myself. This one is so special with the beautiful red, white and blue colors. Fine details of the face, eye, beak and wonderful feathers. A very nice pose on the branch surrounded by the pretty leaves. I love the other two pictures in the workshop as well.

Hi Laurens,
This is a beautiful and exuberant bird, here in Venezuela also exists, but I never could get a good picture of it. The environment is very natural, light is accurate and appropriate for the stage.

Weer een mooie bijdrage uit Costa Rica. Je ziet deze soort veel in Midden- en Zuid Amerika. Goede contrasterende kleuren en een uitstekende compositie.
