Hi Laurens, this is a great preview for TN! Another incredible and unknown specie, perfect quality of your pic in shaprness and colors,Costarica is surely a natural sanctuary, you was lucky to be there! Thanks for share, have a nice day,Luciano

Hello Laurens
Nice to see another bat and its great capture on banana plants. many thanks for showing us my favourite animal.
This is Artibeus sp. and it is a a genus of Neotropical fruit bats (Phyllostomidae: Stenodermatinae).
I am not sure its species. it may be Artibeus watsoni more common in Central America and famous for its making tent on banana leaves.
best wishes
Ahmet

The Bat hanging from the banana tree looks a bit too small for me, Laurens. However, perhaps you have a point in keeping it small and show the larger segment of the leaf to give us an idea of its size in relation to the leaf.
The image is otherwise very sharp and with lots of details.
TFS.

Hi Laurens,
A nice capture of this tiny bat. Very good sharp details and a lovely composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hallo Lou,
Het kleintje staat er prachtig op. Vooral het oogcontact is boeiend, anders zou de foto erg tegenvallen denk ik.
Wat een koppie! Je krijgt zo een goede indruk van de grootte. Uitstekende scherpte en compositie.
Groet,
Peter

Hello Laurens !
THANK YOU sooooooo much, I love it !!! And I feel flattered that you decided to dedicate it to me, you're very kind, and it means a lot to me. Bats belong to my favourite animals, and this one is really cute, lovely little face - he's has a curious and shy look, and I also like how he is hanging on the banana leaf.
