Ciao Laurens, fantastic macrio of strange living fossil, wonderful details and splendid sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello Laurens,
This is not a trilobite but a mollusc - member of Polyplacophora.
Nice, very sharp capture. This group is very rarely presented in TN gallery so thank you for showing something interesting :)

Hello Laurens !
And yet another one - a wonderful and unusual creature ! It really looks like a living fossil, and thus you are making a huge contribution to TN by showing this animal. The details and textures you managed to capture on the shell are amazing, and I also like the greyish, very natural colors - it stands out from all the colorful birds and butterflies. Very well done !

Hi Lou,
A great capture of this Chiton.
Well done for finding the name too.
Your photo is well exposed with good sharpness.
We have Chitons like this near here too.
Nice work!

Superb macro of this beautiful mollusc, very nice colours and sharp details
Well done.

Hi Lou, a fine macro capture of a chiton (an arcaic group of mollusks)from dorsal POV with excellent details that we can see all details of the dorsal shell composed of 8 plates.
An additon to this, a ventral foot is used for locomotion and for attachment to rocks. It pulls itself close to rocks for protection.
TFS this spectacular and unique shot MF!

Hi Laurens.
Excellent godsend and wonderful picture of it. I like razor sharpness of the subject, exact reflection of the texture and colouration, attractive and right upper POV. Well done and TFS.

Hallo Lou,
Merkwaardig beest. Mooie kleuren. Jammer dat hij niet helemaal scherp is. Nooit zoiets gezien.
Goed weekend,

Hello Lou,
A very fine frame-filling capture of a Chiton, a first on TN, I believe! Though the DOF is shallow it is sharp where focused and the POV is ideal to make this great portrait of this primitive mollusc.
Thanks and have a good weekend,

this is an amazing shot of this unique creature.
Well shown in great clarity.
Well presented.

Hello Lou
Nature always amazes me with her unique life forms. An interesting find and well photographed to show off it's wonderful design and colour. I found an empty shell on a beach in British Columbia.
