[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the many wonderful butterflies in this country. Perhaps somebody can name it?
Best regards

Thanks to Nigel! This seems to be The Ismenius Tiger or Tiger Heliconian (Heliconius ismenius)

Hello Pierre,
I like the composition with details of the beautiful butterfly and it's surrounding. Lovely light and nicely presented shot.

What a beautiful species of butterflies from Costa Rica, Pierre!
It has such beautifully coloured wings.
Even its perch on a rock is fascinating.
Hope someone identifies it.

Hello Pierre,
I'm not a specialist, but I think this is the Tiger Longwing, heliconius hecale.
Nice photo of this butterfly in good sharpness and beautiful colours. The background is a bit noisy, a pity. Fine composition.

Ciao Pierre, great macro of fantastic butterfly, wonderful colors splendid sharpness and fine details, very well done, my friend, have a good Sunday, ciao Silvio

Peter is very close - it is Heliconius ismenius. It is perhaps a little small in the frame, but the image nicely illustrates the posture and habitat of this delicate species.
Regards, Nigel.

Hello Pierre,
Now you got the ID. Nigel again here (smile). Although it was little bit far but we can cherish the beauty of its wing.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice Sunday,
