|A night in Costa Rica :|
this animal is practically invisible during the day, it closes its eyes and hides the colourful feet and sides under its belly. But at night, it's all stoppers out. You can hear it, clak clak. It's a Red-eyed Leaf frog (Agalychnis callidryas; Rana arboricola de Ojos rojos, Rotaugen- Laubfrosch. Hylidae), an emblematic animal for Central America. Note that I had to use my pocket camera, a Sony RX-100 with inbuilt flash, where focussing is a guessing game at night.

Perfect night shoot with fill flash, Dietrich.
The leaf frog looks just adorable against the green leaf it is perched on.
Another prize picture from Costa Rica.

Hi Dietrich, this is a great scoop,no doubts! A night in the forest it's always a great emotion, especially when the results are pics like that. Fantastic capture of this red eye frog, impressive brightness and colors, very well done! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano
Hello 👋 Dietrich,
Credit goes to you to show us such beautiful and rare (Here in Treknature) frog 🐸. It's always an adventurous journey to explore at night. Although I prefer less distracting background, but here semi dark background and big leaves covered those parts. Details and colors look very nice. Pure nature picture which I always appreciate 👌.
Thanks for sharing your work with us 😊
Regards and have a nice week,
