The Little Yellow, Little Sulphur, or Little Sulfur (Eurema lisa) is a species of Coliadinae that occurs in Central America and the southern part of North America. The wingspan is between 32 and 44 mm, not to be confused with the Sleepy Orange that is large and orange not yellow. The dorsal view of the forewing has a broad dark margin and the hingwing's ventral view has two basal blacks spots. In the southern part of its range there can be up to five flights, while in the northern range there are between one and three. During warm days males patrol for females so they can mate. Females lay eggs singly on the midveins of their host plant.

Hi Gollini,
A healthy look and well composed, also exposed sorry about my Latin that it has limits though I have lot in heart and mind but can't express may this be enough.
Best regards.

hallo Luciano
very nice composition with good light and good sharpness
the colours and details are beautiful
great shot of this beauty
thanks gr lou

Very nice capture my friend.

Hello Luciano

Great macro with very beautiful light and color tones,
fine POV, great focus, sharpness, and details, TFS

Hello Luciano – Very good picture of this Eurema lisa. Excellent, view showing us all the details of the butterfly collecting some nectar from the flowers.

Technical achievement

• Excellent focus on the whole butterfly and, in the same times, on the flower
• Perfect exposure with an appropriate choice of aperture/speed and iso sped rating
• Perfect depth of field and sharpness in a lateral view
• Good contrast; maybe could the contrast have been more accentuated (or vibrance of the colours or gamma at 0.90/0.80) – May I propose you a workshop?
• Excellent sharpness showing the details of the butterfly and in the same times, showing the flower with enough precision
• Precise white balance and exact colour rendering for the butterfly and the flowers
• Good post processing without any excess
• Good background blurr; maybe background a little bit “too present”.

• Interesting picture showing the butterfly in an usual occupation; Eurema lisa is has not often been presented; good capture.
• Subject properly presented with simplicity and sobriety
• Good presentation of the relationships between butterfly and flowers
• Efficient framing and composition with an appropriate disposition of the subject in diagonal inside the frame.

Thank you for the sharing.

Have a good day.

Hi Luciano,
This time you didn't use flash, although it's your trademark. :-) Greatly composed, nice macro - but until I didn't check the geographical location and the note I thought it's our (European) Colias crocea. I always learn here - even in Sunday evenings. :-) Tfs.
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Ciao Luciano, altra bellezza esotica, somiglia ub po' alla nostra Colias, delizioso anche il fiore, ottimi dettagli, splendida nitidezza e magnifici colori, bravissimo, ciao Silvio

This situation is almost like mine here in India, Luciano; winter has set in but we are still capturing butterflies on wild flowers!
A superb shot with your compact camera and that too against the light.
