From my recent vacation in Cuba.

The Cuban Trogon (Priotelus temnurus)is endemic to Cuba and is Cuba's national bird.

It is found in forest especially near streams. It feeds by hovering on flowers, fruit and insects.

A great capture of this beautiful Trogon, new to me! I love the pose and the fine sharp details and colours of this fantastic bird. It stands out well from the background too.
