Iguana Iguana

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French] |
Here one of the some photographs take at "Les Saintes", of the small islands in the south of the Guadeloupe.
It is a iguana iguana which was at the height Napoleon at Terre-de-Haut.
He was in a great number of other iguanas which sought heat under the tropical sun.
The green iguana, Iguana iguana, are the most known representative of
the family of Iguanidae. It is also one of largest, reaching a size of
2 meters and a weight of 10 kilos. Originating in Central America and
the South, it was introduced into certain parts of the south of the
United States. Appreciated by the terrariophiles for its colors sharp,
its interesting aspect, its adult size, and its more or less flexible
provision (compared to its size). The inhabitants as of the its
countries of origin, on the other hand, appreciate it for its flesh
and the sharp export of specimen intended for the animalist market. |

Hi Maxime,
There are excelent details and an interesting iguana to see on this photo, but I believe you should have included at least the shoulder of the animal to get a good composition.
Nice contrast with the dark background and eye expression.
