A beautiful white Heron. His white feathers are a nice contrast to the dark volcanic rock in the background. The reflection in the water adds more interest. I hope you had a nice holiday.

Quelle luminosité, c'est très beau. J'aime beaucoup la lumière et la blancheur de l'oiseau, avec les rochers noirs dans l'arrière-plan et l'eau brune et pleine de lumière. Très belle composition Jean-Paul, c'est un oiseau magnifique et ta photo l'honore bien. Merci!

Delightful scene. A moment's pose well captured, with great details in this majestic bird. The reflection in the water is really lovely. I prefer today's posting than the one you posted yesterday. On this one the details are clearer and the bird is closer. I like the very crisp whiteness on such dark coloured waters. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jean Paul,

I would have called this Me and My Shadow. The shadow is as spectacular as the Snowy Egret. A wonderful composition and a lovely setting with great contrasts.

Une belle image de cette aigrette neigeuse dans l'eau, sa réflection dans l'eau est un atout à la composition. La prise de vue permet de distinguer les détails et les couleurs de l'oiseau. Le sujet est bien cadré. Bonne soirée.
