Blunt-head Snake
(Imantodes cenchoa)

I encountered this beautiful little snake while looking for tree frogs, it was probably doing the same hanging out in the foliage close by a stream. This snake is much slender than a normal one and the head has a blunt shape. The pattern is absolutely beautiful.

Hello Paul,
I agree the pattern is wonderful.
Secondly
well spotted!(as it's probably not easy to discover these kind of animals)
Lastly it's a great shot overall.

What focal length did you use?

Hi Paul
Great capture of this Blunt-head Snake. His color and markings are really unique, and his eye is very distinctive. I love the way he has wound himself around the bright orange flower as it's a nice contrast to the color of his skin. Thanks for sharing this really cool snake.

Indeed a beautiful, slender snake quite well captured in perfect focus and exposure, from a good vantage point Paul, the choice of a vertical composition enhances the beauty of the image, TFS it my friend.
