[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this pretty Gray Cracker butterfly perched on the trunk of a tree in my daughters back yard. These butterflies seem to always perch in a face downward position.

A few years ago I saw hundreds of these unique looking butterflies while in Nicaragua, this year I only saw a few.

If you are lucky and it is quiet enough, you can hear them make a cracking sound as they take off from their perch. This is how they obtained their name (Cracker).

For more info on the Gray Cracker check out this site.
