A big thanks to Luciano in helping me to correctly ID this butterfly!

I photographed this pretty butterfly while in Nicaragua. I really liked its unique markings and subtle colors.

I see plenty of Cabbage White butterflies here in Ohio, but to me the markings and colors of the Great Southern White (Ascia monuste) seemed more distinct.

Another gem of a picture from Nicaragua, Ron.
This is a new species of Whites for me and I love it. It looks so beautiful on that richly colored lantana flower.
