[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This extraordinary bird is known locally as "King of the Woods". Its strikingly beautiful plumage consists of green upperparts, a black crown which is encircled with turquoise, reddish underparts and a blue tail. The strong bill is black. Motmots sometimes inhabit forest undergrowth where they lurk in the deep shadow. In Tobago, however, they are often seen cultivated areas, or perched on wires and branches beside road banks. The call is a deep, muffled hoot, often heard in the early morning or at dusk.
Motmots feed on a variety of invertebrates, but they also take fruit, small reptiles or something even fledglings, and can be tamed to come for scraps.
They nest in long tunnels which are dug into banks, where they are soft enough. White eggs are laid at the end of the tunnel, but no nest is made.

Very good photo, Zeno! Excellent BG, very nice colours. good light and composition

Really cool bird you have here. Nice colours and composition, I think you need little bit more photoshop work to improve better details, that's all.

Hi Zeno

Well done on a very nice shot. Nicely composed with good POV and nicely saturated colour. Very good camera work. :-)

Hi Zeno,
A wonderful portrait of this unusual bird. Great detail and colour, nice even light and exposure and nicely framed with the diagonal branch. Great DOF too with one of your trademark neutral backgrounds, a really nice shot.

Hi Zeno!
Very nice shot of a pretty looking bird. Excellent exposure, composition and the subject's pose. After seeing this picture I checked out how long it takes to get from New York to Port of Spain. Congratulations,
