Another mind-blowing picture of the Blue, Peter. Words seem to be iadequate in describing the beauty of this great image.
Thanks for sharing it and take care.
Best regards,
Ram
Hi Peter,
Do you think that a pullover that mimics Alpine Blue design would be a commercial success?
In any case, I'm thinking to get handmade one. This fascinating blue surrounded by a black line finished with a white edge is really smart. Finally antenna pattern could be used for a scarf.
Great light and excellent colours, composition, pose, pov and sharpness.
Best regarsd, José M.

Hallo Peter,
ich bin begeistert, was du uns hier wieder präsentierst.

Anne

Hello Peter,
This is delightful, and this shot of the male orbitulus would be perfect if the antennae were not a little soft.
Sharp and fine contrast with the stony ground together with nice diagonal comp.
Well done and TFS,
Best wishes, Ivan

Saludos... Ricardo
A scarce DOF to enhance the beauty of this butterfly on the rocky bottom Peter, with wonderful colors and excellent sharpness.
Personally I like the combination of this point of view with the framing where the butterfly is in diagonal to the central axis as in this case, aesthetically more pleasant than the framing with the completely direct butterfly.
As always your complementary Workshops so interesting to analyze the original image.
Thank you my friend!
Regards... Ricardo

Hi, again, Peter
Another splendid photo of the "fur-ball" :))
Again the details are outstanding and with that all that hair from its body really stands out :)
Also here, the blue really contrasts well with the environment and so it creates a very nice view.
I would also like to add that the pictures from the WS are great, too, and the plces that they show are indeed majestic!
I already miss hiking through such scenaries...
Anyway, Bravo, my friend, and TFS

Hello Peter,
What an amazing capture you've got here! It seems your trip to the mountains was worth the effort as you came up with such extraordinary photos in spite of the rather difficult weather conditions.
I like butterfly photos very much and yours stands out due to the beautiful, rich and well saturated colors as well as the great, sharp details. The diagonal composition works well with this shot while the DOF guarantees for a beautiful, soft and gradually fading focus on the background. This also adds some perspective to the picture! The perfect exposure renders every tiny detail in both highlights and shadows. One can count the scales on the wings or the hairs on the body of the butterfly if he cares. The white hairs on the wing edges are very delicate and make a great contrast with the black stripe that runs along the wing tips. You show us an outstanding composition with a very informative note. Well seen and presented. Congratulations and thanks!
With Warmest Regards,
Eddie

What a stunning butterfly Peter.
I'm really impressed by the quality of images your Sony captures. Of course it needs a great photographer to find the subject in the first place and your doing a great job.
Excellent composition, beaitiful blue, great light, great sharpness.
Well done
Chris

Oh, my goodness - unbelievable! And these butterflies live in the Alps?! No wonder I loved the Alps so much! ...But I never had a chance to see this kind of butterfly, even though in my granny's garden in Ukraine I used to see (and, sorry, catch ;)) MANY different ones...
