I think this is a caracara.

They kill with their beaks instead of their feet.
They have a "tooth" on the side of their beak for the purpose.
I haven't figured out what genus it is...

Hi Annick
I think this is a Crested Caracara (Caracara cheriway). A nice close-up shot of this bird good detail in the eye and nicely framed. I posted a workshop as it looks a little hazy, I hope you don't mind and like the result.
