This is a great close-up of a vulture. The focus is excellent and the exposure is well done. Slight nit on the over exposure on top of the head, but that does not really distract in this composition. Good depth of field and BG.
Very well done for your 2nd posting to TN.

Wonderful portrait. The lighting conditions look difficult (the highlights on the head are a bit blown out), but you could probably fix it a bit by darkening. The clarity and detail are perfect. The eyes are especially powerful, big and black, very hypnotizing!

Thanks for your visit. This vulture attires my attention! What a look, it is so close!!! I like the eye contact and details. Here where I live, we have some in the mountain no far and sometimes they happen to fly near by but they are too high in the sky for me to photograph them... Those we have here are called in French: Urubus à tête rouge. TFS,

Dag Teunie,
Wat ik heel goed vind aan deze foto is de scherptediepte. Met name is hij van bek tot oog scherp. Met een diafragma van 3,2 sta ik even te kijken dat je dit voor elkaar gekregen hebt.
Wat ik minder smaak is de 'overbelichting' bovenaan de kop.
Ik heb wat ervaring met fotograferen van soortgelijke vogels en kamp vaak met dezelfde problematiek.
Maar de DOF vind ik zoals reeds gezegd outstanding.

great portrait of this vulture, like an old aristrocat with its elaborate color. The details are very crips. Nice head on POV. Lighting and exposure are very good. The beautiful neutral BG lets the bird stand out very well.
