Syn.The bitter oysterling mushroom.

Grows on beech , oak and birch.
Flesh whitish or pale to brownish.

Shape kidney to shell.

Ascribed to this mushroom : stipticus refers to styptic,stomming bleeding from wounds , constricting blood vessels.
