[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I photographed this bird yesterday. Identification hornbill in progress)-:.
Cloudy weather conditions but still good enough for colour photography purposes; talking about the kind of light as well as the amount.
I was quite satisfied about the detail in the black plumage.
Further on …I raised the colour temperature a few hundred Kelvin to get a somewhat warmer image, as this is definitely a sunny bird and it is Easter after all.
I sharpened the selected bird a bit and blurred the background; for the latter I used the ‘moved’ option for a change.
A bit higher saturation and contrast as well…
As good as no cropping…
Teleconverter 1,4 has been used.

Happy Easter to everybody!

Hi,
This is one of the best Hornbill photo that i have seen! The details are very good those and colors too!
The only thing that distracted me was that white frame ( This is not really a nit , but i dont prefer a bold frame and dont bother its just my opinion)

Wow... Annick, how many times do i have to say that you are always outdoing yourself. your park has many interesting looking birds, many of which i have never seen before. this one is really unique.
the technicalities are needless for me to point out. it is as good as we can all see.
i really like your style of photography.. so far, it's straightforward portrait like mid-closeup shots, always with clear, neat backgrounds and absolute sharpness.
fantastic.
