I'm not a butterfly specialist but this might be a
European Peacock.
Photographed in the garden. It circles around and it is really a difficult one to follow let alone to capture. It uses each time more or less the same itinerary, landing almost at the same spot. Actually you have to be there in that spot area 'cause a few seconds later it is gone again. And if you move while it is not flying it starts flying immediately as it detects you somehow.

Hello Annick,
today you show the 'dark side' of an otherwise colourful butterfly. Great depth of field covering plant and butterfly but completely leaving out the smooth background. Well composed!
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Annick,

Hi, Annick.
Well composed shot with good exposure and sharpness. Nice pose on flower. Good colors.

Hi Annik,
I like the DOF that you have managed to get here which brings the head and edges of the wings in sharp focus. The colors and the exposure is spot on.
I feel the picture could have been recomposed to avoid that space behind the butterfly (Not really a nit, but I feel it would have looked better)

Hola Annick,
tu galería esta llena de magníficos momentos...
excelente pov.
y bello disparo,

bonjour Annick
