[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Anatidae is the biological family that includes the ducks and most duck-like waterfowl, such as geese and swan. The Magpie-goose is no longer considered to be part of the Anatidae, but is placed in its own family Anseranatidae. These are birds that are modified for swimming, floating on the water surface, and in some cases diving in at least shallow water.
(wiki)

Photographed this in a natural area called 'De Gavers' situated a few miles from the place where I live.
My previous posts, the dragonfly and the marsh frog and...my inactivated due to 'domesticated(?)' close up goose shot were also photographed here.

I was laying flat on some kind of pontoon to get the desired POV.

Species: I was thinking about an Anser anser. The former has an overall greyish colour though.

Thanks for looking...

Wow Annick,

This is a great picture. I like very much that you got down to the level of the bird. It makes for such a pretty picture. Technically this picture is top-shelf. Well done.

Hi Annick,
This is one I have not seen before, even in books.
It makes me think that somewhere in it's ancestory there is some Greylag Goose.
Well taken, plenty of colour and definition in the feathering.
TFS,
Regards,
Peter

Hi Annick,
Good exposition DOF and sharpness. I like the back of the duck because it is not usual...
