Taken today. Sunny weather conditions.
Not seasoned in frog species. Must be a quite common frog, I guess?
Thanks for looking...

Hello Annick

The focus and details are excellent. The duckweed gives a good reference to the size of the frog.Wonderful eye detail and catch light. The colours are natural and rich.Very good low POV and DOF.TFS

Hello Annick
Nice capture of the head of a frog showing up above the duckweed on the surface of the water. Excellent sharpness and good lighting on especially the eye.
I can say with certainty that this is not the Common frog as it lack the dark patch near the eye. This is therefore one of three species of Green Frog and could be the Edible Frog (Rana esculenta) introduced into this pond.

TFS and best regards,

Hi Annick, amazingly vivid colour and excellent low POV. I particularly like the bits of weed on his back...he's really well hidden! Detail in the eye is great and the focus sharp..great shot.

Hello Annick, I don't know wich species it is but it looks cool in its elements ! Very sharp and well composed shot. Well done,

Nice shot with great details, Annick!

Hello Annick,
This is really tastefully done, the exposure is spot on and the tones of green are gorgeous. The details are very nice and crisp in this shot, the F9 enveloped the subject perfectly. :)

Dag Annick,
wat een mooi e foto van deze bastaardkikker. De groentinten vullen elkaar mooi aan. En zoals paul als schreef een goeie scherptediepte.
Er had wellicht iets van de onderkant af gemogen, wat de kikker dichterbij brengt.
Groeten, Jacob

Hi again :)

You know me...i can't resist a great frog picture :)
I love the splendid very low POV here that's almost at the same level with the water. Careful not to wet your equipment, my friend :))
The colors here are most delightful and it's great to see the blending of the frog in its habitat.
Again an impeccable sharpness and wonderful shallow DOF.

Bravo and TFS

Hello Annick, a nice capture of Edible frog (Rana esculenta)! All everything perfect. There is a very close related frog in Cyprus and Turkey, Rana bedriagae. They differ from each other having vocal sacs with different color im males. It is white in esculenta whereas gray in bedriagae. Well done.
