Hi Pat. We have both posted A Blue Tit. You have masterd the new camera so well. Your shot has such fine detail and colours. a nice pose on the twig with a glint of light in the eye. well done TFS.

Now that is some new toy you have there!!..I am a canon man but I can see that the D300 is a mega piece of kit..
Now as for this damn fine picture of yours...Its sharp enough to shave with...the colours are so true its amazing..Need I go ON!!!

I am impressed..there is a difference. Others had been talking down the 300 on Nikon groups...I think they were plants trying to get folks to spend 2000 extra for the D3..HA! This is all you need right here both in quality and in colours!

This is a very nice first capture, with an excellent close-up of this blue tit.
The details are good and the colors are very beautiful and vivid.
Exceptional uniform BG and wonderful composition, too, but i too feel that that halo around the bird is a bit strange.
Even so, this is a great start for you and i compliment you for it!
