Good first post Jeanpierre. So the trout like to eat this fly and they fly over the waters. It looks quite funny on the concrete and not the water.

Nice first post. It looks a little dark on the wings but not very important. What is more important it looks like the focus is more on the hind part of the body than on the eye/head and that is a pity. Apart from that it is a nice close-up on this fly.

If you see my last post, you will see it is also very appreciated by the damselflies and not only the trouts. Hope to see more photos and critiques soon. Welcome to TN.

Hi Jeanpierre.A nice shot of this very ancient insect.
Mayflies are the most primitive of winged insects.
I did a post of this insect too a few months ago.
