A hairy fly of the Tachinid family, probably Tachina fera. "Esox" posted an incredible photo some time ago, but this one is a slitghly different angle.
The larvae develop inside living caterpillars (specially moths), killing their host towards the end of its growth. They are so efficient that it is often difficult to find healthy caterpillars in the wild for raising in captivity (e.g.for ID purpose). The best way is then to capture an adult female moth or butterfly, and start breeding the caterpillars from the eggs.

Very good macro and very beautifull picture, I think that you needed to give a negetive exposure compensation, the bright parts are too much in over exposure.

I love the shot Philippe,
very fine details of this super fly, the hairs are fantastic, the composition is very well taken. Very good pof. Personal I had made a cropp here on the left side, there is to much space, that my personal opinion, farther very good job.
