[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was already too warm round noon, when I arrived in a warm southerly exposed open space in the woods. These fritillaries speeded by like rockets. At some moment it landed and I took my chance. Taken towards the light, but it also gave a different view.
Due to high temperatures all times fenology records are broken. April 2007 is going to be the dryest and warmest april month ever. Like today it was 29,5 C on this location. I think it'll effect the flying period of this species, from which I though it was a fortnight later. Anyway, I was glad to meet this one.

Hello Jacob,
Glanville Fritillaries seem to be out in Belgium at least one month before they emerge in Sweden!
Fine capture with good exposure against the light and very pleasing BG set in a good compo.
Nice shot!
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hello Jacob
Very attractive butterfly on very good picture. Perfect colours and composition. Very good DOF. Thanks

Chris

Hello Jacob this is a fine shot with excellent level of detail lovely clean background and excellent pov beautifully composed. Nice work tfs rgds necip.

Well you seemed to manage the exposure really well despite the back light. I gives a nice glow to the wing edges. I like the beautiful pattern on this butterfly. I was fortunate that it landed on a plant with such nice toning colors. It gives a unified feel to the image. The soft OOF colors in the BG set off the subject very nicely.
