Bonsoir Pat,
Tu nous présentes un bel exemplaire de la Vanesse du chardon, appelée aussi Belle-Dame en français. Le nom latin est Vanessa cardui. Dommage juste que l'antenne droite soit si proche du bord de l'image.

A real beauty this butterfly image is.
Light, colors, soft background and details are wonderful.
Excellent sharpness and exposure.
Pity the right antenna is a little tight cropped, but that does'nt effect the beauty of the image to much.

A wonderful presentation of this colorful butterfly, Pat.
I particularly like the composition with the triangle of the butterfly coming in diagonally from the upper left corner. Very dynamic.
Great pose with the wings slightly opened, exposing both upper and underwings.
The colors and details are great.

Hello Pat,

A beautiful and colorful picture of a Painted lady butterfly (Vanessa cardui)! Composition is a bit too centered in my opinion. I would have framed it a little bit lower so that the amount of empty space in front of the butterfly is significantly larger than the space behind it. This way you would also avoid cropping right at the antennae tip. The background is well blurred and isolates the subject very well! The colors are well saturated and look natural. Exposure is excellent to show the beautiful details in the wings! Well done! TFS!
