[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last week it was a long weekend, so, me and my friend decided to make a two days trip to Ardennes, in East Belgium. I have chosen the “Hoge Venen” – in English High Fens in the province of Liege.
“The High Fens are without a doubt one of the most unspoilt pieces of nature in Belgium. It's a unique nature reserve and the largest united culture scenery of Belgium.”( http://www.oxfamtrailwalker.be/en/de-hoge-venen.html).

The High Fens (German: Hohes Venn; French: Hautes Fagnes; Dutch: Hoge Venen) are an upland area in Belgium and nearby parts of Germany, between the Ardennes and the Eifel highlands. Its highest point, at 694 m above sea level, is the Signal de Botrange near Eupen, which is also the highest point in Belgium. A large part of the High Fens lies within the German-Belgian natural park Hohes Venn-Eifel.
The High Fens consist mainly of moorland and forest, and stretch between Eupen in the north, Monschau in the east, Spa in the west and Malmedy in the south.
Several rivers have their source in the Hautes Fagnes: the Vesdre, Hoëgne, Warche, Gileppe, Eau Rouge, Amblève, Our, Kyll and Rur. There are several artificial lakes in the region.
Before reching the uplands, all the routes crosses a dense spruce forest. A spruce is a tree of the genus Picea , a genus of about 35 species of coniferous evergreen trees in the Family Pinaceae, found in the northern temperate and boreal (taiga) regions of the earth.

The spruce forest resemble very well the forests from the Carpathians slopes, are dark, moist, with a thick layer of different mosses species and from time to time with little streams like this one. Most probably I will try to visit more often this beautiful place.

Hello Oana,
You have chosen here a very beautiful view on this little brook crossing the woods. I like your vertical framing and the point of view you have chosen. I'm also impressed by the fine tints of green and the natural appearance of the whole. Not easy to make such a picture. A somehow melancholic picture. I like a lot.
Thanks and kind regards
Anne

Hi Oana!

You present us the High Fens in a very beautiful manner. I like the simplicity of the picture and the natural aspect of the chosen view very much. The picture reflects the autumnal atmosphere as well as the serenity of the place. Quiteness and calm seem to be the major characteristics of this spot.

Kind regards

Markus

Salutare Oana,
NOUTATI !!!! Bravo ca ai mai gasit timp si pentru un cadru. Frumos peisaj, interesanta imagine. Mi-as dori si eu macar o ora sa petrec in padurea aceea.
Iti doresc o seara frumoasa,
Adrian

Buna Oana,
Foarte buna incadrare, ce a condus la o prezenta excelenta atat a planurilor indepartate cat si apropiate.
Culorile deosebite si timpul de expunere aduc atmosfera de vis la care se gandea probabil Adrian.
Marius.

Hello Oana,
a very beautiful picture, i like this very pleasing atmosphere of underbrush, splendid autumnal colours, a good choice of time exposure showing the motion of water
TFS
Best regards
Maurizio

hello Oana
thanks for the Name
and your picrure is very nice
great details and good sharpness with beautiful colours
greeting lou

Hi Oana,
I like the vertical composition and the diagonal line of the stream running trhough it. The clarity of the photo is really nice and I like it that there are hardly no shaded areas. I do feel that your POV is a bit too high. I think that if you went lower, still pointing down the FG become more powerful in the photo. Also, you might want to sharpen the photo since it looks a bit soft. The latter I've done for you in a WS.
TFS,
Niek

Buna Oana

Un colt de natura excelent surprins de tine...imi place mult!
Imi place sa vad cum ai gandit compozitia asta inca dinainte de a face poze, considerand paraul diagonal si imi place sa vad diverse texturi si detalii pretutindeni in cadru.
Ferica alesa drept element de prim plan e excelenta si atrage multa atentie in timp ce padurea in spate confera adancime si balans.
Personal, cred ca ar fi mers un "sharpen" in plus aici, dar astea sunt detalii mici si usor corectabile.
Oricum foarte frumos.

Bravo si TFS
Horia

Hi Oana,
what a quiet and peaceful place !
A very nice photo.

Hello Oana.

Thank you for that picture of a very romantic landscape.

The composition as well as the point of view are well adapted to you subject.
The sharpness and the depth of field are excellent. The colors are natural and perfectly saturated. The contrast are very good with a good utilization from the lights.

Thank you for the sharing of that instant in the forest. See you soon on treknature for other pictures.

All the best.

Philippe.

Hi Oana,
thanks for giving me the clue for the flower. yes your right, from my reading im so sure it is Heliotropium indicum -- Indian Turnsole.
I must really thank you for the effort you did.
This shot of your is very roamtic, with the flowing water and the yellowish leaces and grasses. it brings in the feeling towards the nature so much. In its beauty and in its composition.
well presented in a very special composition.

regards,
Foozi
