|The noctuid moth Scoliopteryx libatrix, the Herald, is a striking insect. Both shape and color are rather unusual for a night-flying, day-resting moth.|

Hallo Philippe, libatrix has a unique wing-shape and specific colouration among the Noctuidae. Both is well presented on your picture. Structure and colour of the background fit well.

A very interesting looking moth indeed, Philippe.
The shape and coloring of the wings reminds me of dead leaves.
Pretty orange markings and clever camouflage designs.
You showed all of this with sharp details and good light, and an excellent POV.
TFS. : )
Great orange pattern on this one! Superb again! Such kind of beautiful moths you've found! What is the secret of that? Amazing shot and camouflage! Keep it up with the moths Philippe!
Sorry, points later!
that pretty moth, perfectly copying a dry leaf, looks very good in these rich shades of brown hues. Very good three dimensional impression, well taken. Thank you, and best regards,
