|Pheosia tremula is a notodontidae moth. Its wingspan is approx 50 mm (2 inches). The English name "Prominent", which applies also to several other members of the family, is presumably due to the hump that the caterpillar has on its back. The latter lives on poplar, sallow and aspen.|
The French name for this gorgeous moth is "La Porcelaine"
