[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The cheetah has a slender, long-legged body with blunt semi-retractile claws. Its chest is deep and its waist is narrow. Its coat is tan with small, round, black spots, and the fur is coarse and short. The cheetah has a small head with high-set eyes. Black "tear marks" run from the corner of its eyes down the sides of the nose to its mouth to keep sunlight out of its eyes and to aid in hunting and seeing long distances.

The adult animal weighs from 40 to 65 kg (90 to 140 lb). Its total body length is from 112 to 135 cm (45 in to 55 in), while the tail can measure up to 84 cm (33 in). Male cheetahs are slightly larger than females and have a slightly bigger head, but it is difficult to tell males and females apart by appearance alone.

Hello Annick,
Wonderful pose.I liked POV,sharpness, details, eye contact and composition a lot.

Hi Annick

A lovely head on shot. Very sharp showing clear deatils. This is a typical pose from these magnificent animal. We recently had two young male Cheetah arrive at the Auckland Zoo. My son and daughter-in-law gave me a 'Cheetah Experience' as a birthday gift in September. On 21st December I get to 'go behind the glass' with the two boys for 45 minutes, camera a must. I am counting down the days! Watch this space! :-)

Hi Annick

Another great shot from you!
I really like the pose you managed to capture this lovely cheetah in - layed back and relaxed - and this is exactly what this picture represents (at least to me :) )
Graet POV and sharpness, lovely colors and exposure!
The look in his eyes is also great!

Bravo and TFS

face to face with what should be the big 6th...
i love the cheetah and its very solitary way of life and its ability to survive amongst the prides of lions it mixes territory with
good facial expression and classic turned neck cheetah way of looking ...all round
