[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Geometrid moth Eulithis pyraliata, the Barred Straw. This small moth is very recognizable do to its resting posture with the forewings extended and almost covering the hindwings. Wingspan 30 mm. I think this is a first for TN. The caterpillars feed on several Galium species (Bedstraw)

Le Lépidoptère geometridae Eulithis pyraliata. Très reconnaissable à sa position de repos, les ailes antérieures étendues et couvrant les postérieures. Son envergure est d'environ 30 mm. Autant que je sache, une première pour TN. Sa cheinille vit sur diverses espèces de Galium (Caille-lait).

Hi Philippe,
I missed out on this picture before. it's a succesful shot of a moth not often seen on TN. I'm surprised that you got away with 1/30 seconds exposition and no flash. The high aperture made for a suitably fuzzy background. Well done!
