[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
this is a viper snake (size: 40-45cm). the photo was taken in eastern Stara Planina, altitude about 500m, time 9:00-10:00am. the snake was basking in the sun. i just avoided a trample before i could see it :)
NOTE: the picture is scanned, hence some quality was lost |

Welcome to TN Ivan, you did well to spot the snake and not tread on it! Perhaps if you had trampled it you may have had a nasty bite. I see the photo is scanned so I can't comment on what quality the original was, this is quite noisy and we can't see much of the snake. I realise that these are hard to capture so well done there.
