|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|During the April 2004 flood of the river Sava in Croatia, the river filled the floodplains, causing trouble for the abundant terrestric fauna of the riverine forest. Large mammals, like Red Deer, fled the area into the hills, but many smaller animals died. This Wild Cat (Felis sylvestris) tried to sit out the high water in a hollow tree, but got stuck in a crack and died a horrible death.|
