From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The true thrushes are medium-sized mostly insectivorous or omnivorous birds in the genus Turdus of the thrush family Turdidae.
The genus has a cosmopolitan distribution, with species in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Several species have also colonised some oceanic islands, and two species have been introduced to New Zealand. Some New World species are called robins, the most famous of which is the American Robin. Several species are migratory.

Hello Jiri.
This is a wonderful capture! Colors and light are beautiful. Great composition, DOF and POV. Excellent sharpness and nice soft background. Regards Siggi

Hello Jiri,
What else can I say than "Fabulous"! I can go through the whole checklist and I will not find a single flaw, so what would the point be? Fabulous once again!

Lovely picture, the dtails are good, the catch light is special. Even though the bird's head is in center of the frame , the composition works because of the perch and way the birds body is positioned.

Hello Jiri,
This is an outstanding shot of this beautiful little Thrush. The focus is superb allowing us to view it in fine detail. I love it's speckled brown breast and rusty brown plumage. Wonderful eye contact and a cute pose. The blurred BG keeps you focused entirely on the bird. Great job!!
I see quite a few of these pretty thrushes every year during the spring migration up at Magee Marsh.
