Ciao Kim, welcome on TN, great macro of fantastic wasp, fine details, splendid sharpness and wonderful colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Kim,
Welcome to TrekNature most importantly. Your starting image is of excellent quality. Pleasant composition, the body of the wasp is tack sharp while the exposure's perfect. Minimal overexposion is detectable on some of the white flowers, but the details on the black can't be any better. Bravo! I don't even remember such an intense debut on the site. Please, if you accept an advice from me, try to write some more in-depth note - about the species, how you made the photo etc. Thanks.
Best regards, László from Ireland

Hello Kim, and welcome to TN.
Your first post is awesome, what a neat macro of this beautiful wasp. You have captured some really great detail, especially around the head area. White balance looks perfect rendering the colors true and natural. Your Canon 650D is certainly doing an outstanding job for you. Well done!!

Brilliant macro of this insect which looks like a Bee Wolf to me, Kim.
The sharpness and colours are amazing.
