[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On Monday I took possession of my new Tamron 200-500mm lens, but until today I haven't really had much chance of trying it out, as the weather's not been decent, at least not at times when I've been able to scamper off to the hunting fields ;-))
Today, however, I took three new feed balls down to the feeding spot that Mogens and I have set up near the wood. And then I waited patiently, while Milloup also waited, a good deal less patiently.. For a while nothing happened, I could hear the birds singing in the area, but none came in for a snack. Finally, a great tit arrived and took a quick snack. He was so fast and furious, whizzing from one ball to the next, that you'd think he was suffering from ADHD ;-)) So, I only got a couple of shots of him that weren't blurred.
Next visitor was this little chap who came in more cautiously but then, once he'd decided it was safe, stayed a bit longer than his bigger cousin. Unfortunately, the weather started turning nasty just as the birds were beginning to realize that a free snack was to be had, so I had to pack up and go. As it were, we only managed to get half-way home, before a heavy shower broke, and both Milloup and I were soaked when we reached home. But I did get this..
Blue tit Parus caeruleus
Its colourful mix of blue, yellow, white and green make the blue tit one of the most attractive resident garden birds. Almost any garden with a peanut feeder will attract them and they readily breed in nestboxes. In winter they form flocks with other tit species and a garden with four or five at a bird table at any one time, may be feeding 20 or more.

Great picture, very good details and colours, enjoy your new lens.

Seems like this little tit is going to have a feast. Great captured Bente I love the pose. Excellent note well done.

Hi Bente - congratulations with your new toy, it seems to work excellent.

Splendid capture with very natural colours (I can say as I know the place). As expected the Tamron delivers high quality of sharpness and details. I love his pose - he really looks like having full control over the situation and surroundings.

Thanks for the feed ball support may be I will be there tomorrow - depending on the weather.

Well worth the soaking to you both, a cracking little capture. the details of the feathers is very good, if one was to be extremley picky then the white of the forehead is a fraction over exposed, but then I have seen worse cases of exposure make it into major wildlife slide exibitions,so I would have to be very picky to take points off for this and I suspect that practice will make you more than perfect and we are about to enjoy some superb image once you become one with the new lens, look forward to veiwing them Bente. TFS.

Hello Bente, Great shot...I'm jealous over the lens :-|. Maybe the tit is a weeny bit soft in focus compared to the bait ball but it's a super picture, well done.

Bente, Nice shot! Good pose & color. Great complimentary OOF BG color that contrasts well with your Blue tit..Excellent note. Well done!
