A secret inhabitant of the finnish forests round Laajavouri is the hazel grouse.
I observed it on a rainy day deep in the forest. The picture is unfortunately a bit noisy (which is a common problem with my Nikon if light intensity is low). However, on this picture the species can be clearly identified and it shows the colors of the feathers. Also the darkness of this forest I wanted to capture; so I did not increase lightness.

Any hints of how to improve the picture are very welcome.

Hi Mike,
undoubtly one of the least seen and captured birds in Europe. Although not crisp sharp it shows very well the natural environment. For me, the first picture I see on the internet of this species.
