Hello Gerard,
A wonderful image of this Shaggy Parasol mushroom which shows it's unique scaley outer skin in fine detail. At this stage of growth it reminds me somewhat of our Giant Puffballs which we see in the late fall months. Great shot!!

Hi Gerard,

The lovely shape of texture of this mushroom is nicely portrayed by the POV you chose and the by the lighting.

Have a pleasant weekend,

Ishi

Hi Gérard,
This is surely a lepiotoid species, from Macrolepiota or Chlorophyllum generas, but surely not Chlorophyllum rhacodes (= Macrolepiota rhacodes), because the habitat's different. That species never grows on sun-exposed fields, roadsides, but always in deciduous or coniferous forests. This is probably Chlorophyllum brunneum (Farl. & Burt) Vellinga (formerly Macrolepiota rachodes var. hortensis (Pilát) Wasser), but a proper ID specification's not possible without microscopic analysation.
Best regards, László

Beautiful capture with wonderful details
