Scilla bifolia, Two-leaf squill or Alpine squill ou Scille à deux feuilles observée dans le Val-Suzon dans les pentes de la forêt de la Côte à la Ratte.

"Vivace, basse à petite, glabre. 2 feuilles (parfois 3-5) lancéolées étroites, embrassantes. Fleurs bleu vif, rarement roses ou blanches, à 6 pétales, en étoile, en grappe lâche, sans bractées ; floraison de mars à août. Bois, prés, montagne."

Hello Gerard,
What a pretty flowering plant which grows from a bulb. The beautiful blue color is quite an eyecatcher in the early spring, a season when browns and grays are normally the prevalent colors.
The beautiful blooms actually remind me of the Chicory plants we see here in Ohio during the summer months. You managed to capture exceptional detail while obtaining true and natural colors. Great shot!!
